The Western Montana Clinic Laboratory Department performs over 250,000 individual and panel tests in the areas of hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, microbiology, virology, and urinalysis. In addition, the pathology section of the laboratory handles over 6,000 tissue samples, as well as 12,000 thin-layer Pap specimens. The laboratory is supervised by a board-certified director and each technologist and technician is registered and licensed by the State of Montana. WMC operates three satellite laboratories in Missoula. Each satellite offers basic and stat testing.

The blood drawing section located in the Broadway Building employees five phlebotomists and operates from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays.
